Burgas Hosts Discussion on the Future of the European Union

Burgas will be the center of an in-depth discussion on the future of the European Union, after the city was chosen to host a key meeting entitled "What is Europe Telling Us Today?". The initiative, organized by the Europe Direct Information Centre - Burgas, brings together experts and public representatives to discuss the most important challenges and achievements of a united Europe.

The main topics of the meeting are the achievements and priorities of the European Union, with a special emphasis on their impact on Bulgaria and the Burgas region. Participants will analyze how decisions made in Brussels affect the local level—from economic opportunities to social development. An emphasis will also be placed on the role of young people and civil society as drivers of change. A lively discussion is expected on the challenges and opportunities facing the future of Europe, including issues related to economic stability, climate change, and technological progress.

The culmination of the event will be a live broadcast of the State of the European Union 2025 speech, delivered by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
