"Bulgargaz" has proposed a price of 44.08 euro per megawatt-hour for natural gas in October to the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC). This amount does not include VAT, excise tax, or transmission and access fees, as specified in the official announcement on the regulator's website.

The proposed value represents a 5.96 percent increase compared to the approved price of 41.60 euro per megawatt-hour for September. The price mix for the upcoming month is composed of liquefied natural gas supplied through auctions and quantities under the long-term contract with Azerbaijan.

A portion of the amount is allocated to cover costs related to "public supply" activities and gas components at the entry point of the gas transmission networks. The price also includes "Bulgargaz" costs for storing gas volumes in the "Chiren" underground gas storage facility, which is conducted in accordance with obligations under the Emergency Action Plan.

The change in gas prices by Bulgargaz will affect heating and energy costs for households in Burgas and the entire region.

The application review procedure will consist of two phases: the EWRC will hold an open meeting, while the final decision regarding the price for October will be made in a closed session.
