The young talents Ivaylo Alexandrov, Nikola Milanov, and Dimitar Tonchev demonstrated exceptional preparation and determination in the tournament competition.
The team started impressively, winning their first match against Sofia's "Avitohol" with a decisive result of 45:27. This success secured them a place in the semi-final phase, where they faced the leading team of FC "Svechnikov". Despite showing dedication, the Burgas fencers lost with a score of 37:45 to the future champions.
The key moment came in the match for the bronze medals, where "Korsar" met the second team of "Svechnikov". In an extremely contested and dynamic match, the Burgas team managed to impose their mastery, winning with a minimal advantage of 45:44.
Individual achievements were also remarkable. Georgi Zlatarov, a club graduate competing for NSA-Sofia, won a bronze medal in the men's category. In the elimination rounds, he demonstrated high technical preparation, eliminating his teammates and outplaying Mihail Hadjilazov from "Svechnikov".
Parallel to the team championship, a young hope of the club – Ekaterina Chausheva, participated in the European Fencing Festival for children under 14 in Istanbul. In extremely strong competition with 67 participants, she achieved a remarkable 17th place, demonstrating potential and skill.
Chausheva impressed with her perfect performance in the group phase, winning all six matches. In the second elimination round, she convincingly defeated Marina Vasileva with 15:7, before losing to the Georgian athlete Elene Inasaradidze with 12:15.
