Fight against mosquitoes: A disinfection station in Burgas covers wide urban areas

A large-scale disinfection campaign against mosquitoes in Burgas, organized by the local Disinfection Station, is forthcoming. The operations will cover a wide range of urban locations - residential neighborhoods, parks, biotope zones, and other key areas from May 27 to June 20, 2025.

The first disinfection activities will be carried out on May 27 in the "Lozovo" and "Dolno ezerovo" neighborhoods, followed on May 28 by "Kraymoriye" and "Gorno ezerovo". On May 29, parks in "Meden rudnik", gardens in "Zornitsa" and "Lazur", the Central City part and "Vazrazhdane", "Akatsii" and "Pobeda" will be treated. On May 30, the treatments will continue in "Pobeda", "Akatsii", the streets "Kraiyzerna", "Yonchevo ezero", "Salzata" and Todor Aleksandrov Boulevard.

In the following days, the disinfection will also cover other key locations in the city - the Central City part and "Lazur" on June 2, "Slaveikov" on June 3, "Izgrev" and "Zornitsa" on June 4, the Sea Garden, the Salinas area, and Lake Park on June 5, Mineral Baths Park, the biotope zones in "Vetren" and "Banevo" on June 6, "Vazrazhdane" and "Bratya Miladinovi" on June 9, "Meden rudnik" on June 10, "Sarafovo", "Cherno more" and "Rudnik" on June 11, the Cemetery, "5-ti kilometar" and the town of Bulgárovo on June 12, the Sea Garden and Lake Park on June 13, Rosenets Park, the stray dog shelter in the "Poda" area, and the biotope zone in the village of Marinka on June 16, the biotope zones in the villages of Marinka, Tvardica, Dimchevo, and Izvor on June 17, parks in "Slaveikov", "Sv. Troitsa", "Izgrev" and "Mineral Baths" on June 18, the Sea Garden and Lake Park on June 19, and finally "Dolno ezerovo" and "Gorno ezerovo" on June 20.

Imagocidal treatments with cold/hot aerosol will be carried out from 00:30 to 04:30. The Disinfection Station - Burgas reserves the right to change the schedule in case of deteriorating weather conditions such as rain and strong wind.
