Charity Calendar for Premature Babies from UMBAL Burgas

The Neonatology Department of UMHAT Burgas has issued an appeal to the now-grown premature babies to participate in the charity calendar, which it traditionally prepares at the end of each year. This year, the initiative is especially special, marking the anniversary of the calendar. For this reason, the invitation has been extended to all children born in and after 2015. Remembering their first days, when they fought for every breath, today these little heroes are growing up healthy and happy.

The beginning of the preparation for this special calendar is an event that causes excitement and thrill. Dozens of parents will have the opportunity to see their children, once fighting for life, now proudly posing for a noble cause.

"Traditionally in this calendar we collect our most seriously ill patients. We show the whole society what medical science is capable of, combined with the desire and the fight for life of these little heroes and the trust of their parents. We remember each of the children in our calendars and for us there is no greater reward than to watch them grow", shared Dr. Stiliyana Tomova, Head of the Department of Neonatology at UMHAT Burgas.

If your child is one of these miracles of life and you want them to be part of the charity calendar, the Department invites parents to fill out a registration form. The team will contact the candidates for additional information.

It is important to note that the main condition for participation is that the child was born prematurely and was a patient of UMHAT Burgas. The deadline for registration is November 15th.

The training for the calendar is part of a series of events with which the Department of Neonatology will mark World Prematurity Day - November 17th. On this day, the doors of the Department will be open to all - grown-up patients, expectant mothers, students and friends who want to experience the miracle of the first small victories. Those present will have the unique opportunity to see how hope and perseverance can transform destinies.
