14 children – including two sets of twins – are models in this year's edition of the traditional charity calendar of the Neonatology Department at UMBAL Burgas. The 2026 calendar continues its mission to inspire hope and show the power of trust and modern medicine.
The theme for 2026 is dedicated to babies born in the last ten years, weighing less than 1700 grams and needing prolonged care. Each of them is an example that even the most difficult beginning can grow into a healthy and fulfilling human story. The children, who started their lives in an incubator, today confidently and joyfully stand in front of the camera to inspire courage in parents who are going through the same challenges. Most of the models are now of school age.

The proceeds from the sale of the calendar will be used to renovate the newborn beds in the department. Some of them have already been replaced, also with the help of donors. “Traditionally, we show our most severe cases in the calendar. We gathered children who started their lives with extremely low weight, who are our great pride today. They prove that miracles happen when there is professionalism and mutual trust between us and the parents,” shared Dr. Stiliyana Tomova, Head of the Neonatology Department at UMBAL Burgas.
