On June 23 and 24, 2025, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Bulgaria, Dr. Georgi Takhov, will attend a meeting of the Council of the European Union on Agriculture and Fisheries, which will be held in Luxembourg. The main focus on the forum's agenda will be a political debate on the legislative proposal to simplify the implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) at the European level.
During the meeting, the Council will also discuss current information on the development of issues related to trade in the agricultural sector. The participation of the Bulgarian Minister Takhov in these key discussions is of utmost importance for the protection of the interests of Bulgarian agricultural producers and ensuring the sustainable development of the agricultural sector in the country.
The upcoming debates in Luxembourg are part of the ongoing process of reforming and improving the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union.
