Bulgarian Female Volleyball Players Ready for World Championship in Thailand

The Bulgarian national women's volleyball team is preparing intensively for the upcoming World Championship in Thailand, with the team's mood being optimistic and ambitious. This became clear from the statements of two key players, Alexandra Milanova and Merelin Nikolova.

Alexandra Milanova, who is a receiver and left-side hitter in the national team, expressed confidence in Bulgaria's potential to perform excellently at the world championship.

The preparation is going normally, we had a little time after the Nations League to rest and fix injuries, whatever each of us had. Now we are preparing at full speed

She emphasized the seriousness of the upcoming tournament and the team's high expectations:

We have a serious tournament ahead with serious teams. I think we have chances, and big ones - not only against Canada but also to get out of the group. Everything depends on us and how we perform and what we show on the court. But I think we have great chances

Milanova revealed that the coaching staff is conducting in-depth analyses of the team's performance, focusing on improving weaknesses and further developing strengths.

It's a technical matter, the coaches are analyzing where we performed well and where - not so much. From there on, we work on the minuses, of course, and try to improve the elements in which we did well

The experienced volleyball player emphasized the importance of game rhythm and teamwork between the players:

We had a rest period where we didn't have matches and we need such to get into game rhythm. After all, in the last tournaments, some of the more experienced players weren't there, and when we don't train together, we lose that teamwork. This will help us regain that teamwork and make the team look as it should normally look

Young Merelin Nikolova, who has been playing in the Republic of Korea for the last two years, also expressed optimism about the upcoming world championship:

There's a good mood in the team and we hope that we will give our best in the upcoming matches. It certainly won't be easy for us, but we're going out for a win in every match and we'll give everything for that

Nikolova emphasized the balance between youth and experience in the team, highlighting the benefits of this combination:

We are a relatively young team, and now there are experienced players too. So far, things are developing well, we're learning from them and it's good for us as up-and-coming players

The national women's volleyball team will strive to build on the good moments from the Nations League and show their best at the world championship in Thailand. With the combination of young talents and experienced players, Bulgaria hopes to achieve significant success on the international stage.
