Representatives of the German Federal Ministry of Science, Energy, Climate Protection and the Environment, the Chamber of Commerce in Magdeburg, the Center for Technology Transfer in Magdeburg, as well as representatives of the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy in Sofia visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) to establish long-term partnerships in key economic sectors.
Gabriela Dimitrova, Director of International Cooperation and International Organizations, introduced the guests to the activities of the BCCI and outlined the international partnerships that the organization maintains with over 240 national and regional chambers of commerce worldwide. Representatives of the individual councils of the BCCI presented their activities and goals and outlined many opportunities for partnership with their colleagues from Germany, providing valuable information on the economic environment and business support in Bulgaria.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Magdeburg also presented its initiatives in the field of innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment promotion. The main goal of the German partners' mission in Bulgaria is to strengthen international cooperation, promote innovation, and establish long-term partnerships in key sectors such as green technologies, digitalization, hydrogen economy, and maritime innovations.
Emphasis was also placed on strengthening cooperation in the field of innovation and business development between Bulgaria and the German federal state of Saxony-Anhalt. In addition to the BCCI, the delegation visited universities, research institutions, business support organizations, and innovative companies in Sofia and Varna to explore opportunities for knowledge and technology transfer and joint research projects.
The meeting at the BCCI is part of the efforts to strengthen international cooperation and promote innovation in key economic sectors. The two sides expressed their readiness to deepen the partnership and establish long-term links in the field of green technologies, digitalization, the hydrogen economy, and maritime innovations.
