The Chairman of the Bulgarian-Ukrainian Industrial Chamber (BUIC) Liliya Ivanova visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and held a working meeting with the Chairman Tsvetan Simeonov. The main topic of the discussion was the upcoming initiatives for the development of trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Ukraine.
During the meeting, the successfully held Bulgarian-Ukrainian Business Forum in 2024, organized jointly by the BCCI, BUIC, BSMEPA and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, was discussed. Simeonov emphasized that the large number of participating companies from both countries is a clear sign of the existing interest in deepening bilateral cooperation.
The process of preparing the next edition of the forum, scheduled for the second half of 2025, was also discussed. Simeonov pointed out that without the stabilization of the situation around the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the realization of major trade and economic projects cannot be expected. He stressed that now is the time to create partnerships between companies and prepare for the upcoming process of recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine.
