The repaired section of the "Trakia" motorway in Pazardzik region is now open for traffic in both directions. Finishing works on the shoulders, drainage, installation of barrier systems and road signs are currently being carried out on this 10-kilometer section. The repairs started on May 22 on the lane towards Sofia, and from June 3 continued on the lane towards Burgas.
Tomorrow, June 20, around 1 PM, traffic will be restored in the 12-kilometer section in Sofia region. Vehicles will be able to pass through the renovated route between the 11th and 23rd kilometer of the motorway towards Burgas. In this section, the paving has been completed, and currently the markings are being applied and the guardrails are being installed, which will continue until Monday.
In Sliven region, repair activities continue on the 10-kilometer section between the 241st and 251st kilometer towards Burgas. There, a geogrid is being laid, asphalt layers and concrete curbs are being installed, with two-way traffic in the lane towards Sofia.

The Road Infrastructure Agency calls on drivers to exercise increased caution, to observe the temporary traffic organization and road signs. During busier traffic, at the end of the week and on weekends, slower progress may be possible in the repaired sections, and additional measures may be introduced if necessary.
