In connection with the unregulated facilities in which elderly people are accommodated, the Agency for Social Assistance (ASA) is making targeted efforts, in compliance with the legislation and the powers of the individual institutions in the field of social services, to support the affected and their families. The regional structures of the ASA are engaged in informing, consulting, guiding and supporting all interested persons. The protection of the rights, interests and individual needs of every person are the guiding principles for support, prevention and overcoming of social inequalities.
In order to provide quality and effective care, the ASA works in close cooperation and coordination with all responsible institutions. We draw attention that the exercise of control and monitoring of the provision of social services, as well as the licensing of social service providers, is the responsibility of the Agency for the Quality of Social Services (AQSS). The register of licensed social service providers is available on the AQSS website.
