Burgas will keep its "BoulevArt – a network of senses" programme running through October with music, dance, themed evenings and exhibitions, Burgas council says. The schedule for October 5-11 is now out, and two of the exhibitions will stay open after that.
The week opens on Monday, October 5, with comedian Krastyu Lafazanov's show "COMICkaze on KrastYUpat", a mix of humour, self-deprecation and funny stories. It starts at 7pm at Esco BAR on 16 Alexandrovska Street and runs until 10pm.
Six events in early October mark EscoBAR's sixth birthday. The party is on Thursday, October 8, from 8pm, on Burgas's biggest disco dance floor, with music and the vibe of the 80s and 90s. Every guest gets a gift, which stays a surprise until the evening. "Some places have an address. Others have stories" is the bar's motto.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, October 6 and 7, from 7pm, there's QUIZ NIGHT SHOW, a general-knowledge quiz covering different topics, played in teams. The quiz runs every Tuesday and Wednesday at the bar.
Friday night, October 9, Esco BAR hosts a karaoke disco with DJ SLAVI from 10pm. From 9pm at the Modern Theatre club on 1 Milin Kamak Street, Feuersein performs a Rammstein tribute with an updated set and stage show, including "Deutschland", "Du Hast", "Engel", "Ich Will", "Sonne" and "Mein Teil", plus some lesser-known tracks.
At HashtagSTUDIO on 6 Vazrazhdane Street, on October 9 from 10pm, DJAM plays Pop It, with world hits, remixes and current pop. On October 10, from the same time, GOODY runs "BG Archive", with Bulgarian classics, hip-hop and modern hits.
For the first time in Burgas, Studio "Extrovert" is holding a "Traitors Game", subtitled "Trust no one". It takes place on October 10 from 6pm at Esco BAR. The format follows the TV show "The Traitors": players get roles and powers, go through team challenges, and traitors hide among the loyal players. Who is who stays secret, and players form alliances and strike deals as the game goes on.
The week at Esco BAR ends with Latin dance on Sunday, October 11. FUSION LATINA runs a beginners' salsa class from 8pm to 9pm, followed straight after by a party with salsa, bachata, kizomba and merengue.
Every evening from 6pm, Alive Band plays live on the BoulevArt stage on 2 Vazrazhdane Street, with a set of Bulgarian and international hits.
The Prolet Gallery on 32 Lermontov Street is showing "Changeable Season" by Stanislav Pamukchiev until October 23. The artist made new abstract landscape and figurative works specially for the gallery, along with two self-portraits. The exhibition's description says he uses images from nature to speak about change, movement and emotional experience, and calls "Changeable Season" a poetic journey between the real world and the inner self.
At Art Gallery Nesi on 3 Khan Krum Street, until October 26, professor Antoaneta Ancheva has a solo show called "Mora Temporis / Time Standing Still", with narrow streets, architectural fragments, light and a deep blue sky. The description says the city is recreated as a space of memory and experience, where time seems to slow down.
