The talented artist Meglena Bozhanova with a new exhibition "Double Refraction" at Gallery "Atelier R"

On Tuesday, June 11, 2025, at 6:00 pm, a new exhibition by the renowned Bulgarian artist Meglena Bozhanova, titled "Double Refraction", will be opened at the "Atelier R" Gallery. Bozhanova has a degree in Textile Design, specializing in pattern, and works in the field of oil, multi-layered painting. Characteristic of her work are the love for large formats, figural compositions, and colorful expression.

In 2025, Bozhanova is a finalist in the Great International Competition in Spain with the painting "THE LAKE", and her work "HOPE" has been selected and nominated for an award by the prestigious French catalog "The New Protagonists". The award will be presented to her on September 11, 2025, in Nice. The artist has been invited and participated in Art Expo New York'25, she has been chosen as one of the 100 international artists of Italy for 2025, and is among the awarded International Artists from the Academy of Arts in Italy, an award presented in December 2024 in Rome.

In 2024, Bozhanova has been selected and participated in "THREE" - an International Exhibition in Rome, as well as in an International Exhibition in Florence. In 2021, she won 6th place in the International Competition of the 25 most prestigious Galleries and Museums in America, Fantasy category, and in 2022 she was awarded a certificate for overall performance in the International Art Competition in Luxembourg. The artist also participates in the International Exhibitions "ARTISTS FOR PEACE" in Chile and Venezuela.

Meglena Bozhanova has a rich solo exhibition activity, including "Original Sin" (2024), a Retrospective Exhibition at the "SAVOV" Gallery - Plovdiv (2024), "The Thread of Life" - Art Center 12 - Sofia, "The Great Restart" - "Klassika" Gallery - Sofia, and others. She also participates in group exhibitions in Velingrad, Dupnitsa, Ruse, Samokov, Burgas, as well as in the largest Art Festival in Bulgaria - ARTIKO19, held in Sofia.

Meglena Bozhanova's paintings can be seen in galleries in Bansko, Sozopol, Nessebar, Burgas, Plovdiv, Sofia, Rome, and Florence. They are owned by collectors and lovers of oil painting around the world and in Bulgaria. The artist is characterized as a bold and colorful contemporary author with her own style and expression. She says about herself: "The path in Art is long, complex, and covered with thorns. Like a nestinarka, I will walk it to the very end. I pray daily for the time given to me to be enough for everything."
