The first edition of the "Salt Symphony" festival, combining music, dance, visual arts, and words, will open its doors on November 15 and 16 at the "Prosveta 1888" Community Center in Pomorie, the municipality's press center announced. The atmosphere in the seaside town is already vibrating in anticipation of the cultural event, promising unforgettable experiences for all art lovers.
The organizers emphasize that the name of the festival draws inspiration from the symbolism of salt, presented as a metaphor for strength, purification, and resilience. From the name itself, the striving for depth and durability is evident, reminiscent of the centuries-old connection of the region with the sea and its bountiful product. The festival's program is rich and diverse, including concerts, performances, lectures, workshops, and master classes, promising an encounter between established artists and young talents.
On November 15, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a contemporary dance workshop led by the "Dune" Dance Company. Afterwards, choreographer Mila Iskrenova will present a lecture-discussion entitled "Introduction to Contemporary Dance", promising an in-depth exploration of the art of movement. Specialists from the Salt Museum in Pomorie will talk about the history of Pomorie salt, also demonstrating techniques for creating images using this unique natural material.
The evening of the first festival day will offer a dance evening entitled "The Salt of Life". In the first part, the "Dune" Dance Company will present "Rituals of the Soul", promising an emotional journey into the depths of the human essence. In the second part, the "Arabesque" ballet will present the performance "Under the Shadow of Your Wings", presenting the dance duet "In the Beginning and Forever".
On November 16, the festival will continue with a literary reading dedicated to Bulgarian poetry and the work of Hristo Fotev, the poet who has woven the beauty of the sea and life into his poems. In parallel, master classes in pop and jazz singing will be held, led by Roberta and the young singer Nika. The finale of the two-day program will be set by a closing concert with their participation and a rock band, promising an unforgettable evening for all those present.
