Burgas will host one of the most anticipated cultural events this winter – a concert by the brilliant American pianist Pauline Yang. On December 3rd, the audience will have the rare opportunity to meet live an artist whom the world's music critics define as one of the brightest young stars of the piano scene. The event is part of her Bulgarian tour, organized by "Sofia Art Institute".
Pauline Yang is a graduate of the University of Southern California and holds master's degrees in piano, international relations, and political science. She is an honorary arts envoy of the U.S. State Department and has given concerts and lectures around the world. The pianist debuted as a soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra at the age of 11, and at the same age gave her recital at Carnegie Hall.
Her performances are distinguished by fine sensitivity, exquisite sound, and artistic flair – qualities that will come to life on the Burgas stage in a specially prepared recital. In Burgas, Pauline Yang will partner with pianist Veneta Neynska, artistic director of the Sofia Art Institute. The two performers will present emblematic works for one piano, four hands – a program that intertwines the depth and lyricism of Franz Schubert with the drama and power of Johannes Brahms. This is a musical dialogue that brings together two artistic personalities known for their passion for chamber music and strong artistic concepts.
The Burgas concert is the second stop on Pauline Yang's tour and will be held on December 3rd at the Sea Casino Cultural Center, "Petya Dubarova" Hall. The event is part of a series of five concerts between December 2nd and 8th in Varna, Burgas, and Sofia.
Tickets are sold only in advance at epaygo.bg and at EasyPay cash desks. Seats are limited.
