On August 28, St. Anastasia Island will turn into a "Kite Island". The one-day festival will offer residents and guests of Burgas demonstrations of various models – from ancient Chinese ones to ultra-modern sports and 3D kites.

As part of the program, the organizers are planning a free school where instructors will train participants in techniques ranging from basic to advanced. "Take a sports kite in your hands and feel the wind. Our instructors will teach you the techniques - from basic to advanced. Kites are among the oldest flying objects created by humans 4,500 years ago," the event team shares.

The festival is part of "Via Pontica" – an annual series of events along the entire Bulgarian Black Sea coast, held with the assistance of the Bulgarian Kite Association.
