The National School of Musical and Performing Arts (NUMSI) “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” in Burgas will celebrate the 65th anniversary of its founding with festive concerts on two consecutive days - March 11th and 12th.

The host of the festive concert spectacle entitled “65 Years on the Waves of Art” will be the State Opera - Burgas. Students from all specialties in the school will participate in it. The program will also offer a meeting with the youngest philharmonic orchestra in the city, composed of students from the 5th to 7th grades. Representatives of cultural institutions, partners, and former teachers of the institution are expected to be guests at the event.

NUMSI was established as a State Secondary Music School with Order No. I – 3284 of July 14, 1961, of the then Ministry of Education and Culture. The celebration also coincides with the 127th anniversary of the birth of the patron of the institution – the composer Pancho Vladigerov, which is celebrated on March 13th.

BTA recalls that in early January, NUMSI “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” organized a large charity concert in support of the campaign to purchase a new grand piano, organized jointly with the “Solinaria” foundation.
