Divers will explore sunken ruins, fortress walls and ancient harbour structures in Nessebar at the second training seminar of the European project TOURAL. The seminar is on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, Nessebar municipality said.
The Centre for Underwater Archaeology will closely supervise the dives. This keeps visitors safe and protects the underwater cultural heritage.
The seminar starts at 2:30pm in the congress hall of the Artium Centre, at 1 Juliette Shishmanova Square. The municipality is the host. The project's Knowledge Centre, a digital hub for the region, will be shown in action. Participants will see how it can help protect the local cultural and natural heritage and present it in digital form.
They will also discuss how to build partner networks in which participants develop and launch new tourism products using the TOURAL business model.
The municipality says these initiatives continue its work with local partners. The aim is to offer tourism all year round and richer experiences for guests, while protecting the region's heritage.
The seminar is hybrid. Partners, media and anyone who cannot come to Artium can join online. The live stream runs from 2:30pm to 4:00pm at https://meet.google.com/wdo-sdxx-spm.
