Folk dancing under the open sky in Burgas

On June 14th at 7:00 PM, the balustrade next to the "Sea Casino" Cultural Center will once again turn into a hub of Bulgarian spirit, rhythm, and tradition. The "Sunday Horo" initiative returns for the fourth consecutive year to bring together all lovers of folk dancing.

"Sunday Horo" – the place where traditions come alive to the sounds of Bulgarian folklore.

What awaits you at the first meeting?

The first event of this year's calendar will be dedicated to two of the richest folklore regions in Bulgaria:

  • Strandzha Folklore Region: Learn the specific steps and feel the authentic rhythm.
  • Thracian Folklore Region: Immerse yourself in the magic of Thracian horos.

The event is open to everyone – beginners and advanced, young and old. There is no stage or competitive element here, just a circle of people, music, and shared emotion.

Why join?

The goal of the organizers from Burgas Municipality is to preserve the living heritage of Bulgaria by encouraging active interaction between generations. It is a wonderful opportunity to move your body and strengthen your sense of community.

Follow the schedule for the upcoming dates and regions that will be presented as part of this year's edition of "Sunday Horo".
