On July 10, 2025, the Burgas Music Festival "Emil Chakyrov" will present an exceptional musical performance dedicated to film music. The leading event "The Violin in Cinema" will take place in the Summer Theater, promising an exciting encounter between classical performance and film soundtracks.

The concert will be conducted by the distinguished conductor Yordan Dafov - a recipient of prestigious national awards such as the "Golden Century" award. The soloist will be Chavdar Valkov, concertmaster of the Pleven Philharmonic, who will present a rich program of twenty musical works.

Viewers will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the emotional world of film music through performances of classical and contemporary soundtracks. The repertoire includes melodies from world-famous films such as "Schindler's List", "Gladiator", "Pirates of the Caribbean", "James Bond" and many others.

Special attention will be given to composers who have received international recognition such as Nino Rota, Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer, and John Williams. Their musical works have transformed film music into contemporary classics, winning prestigious awards like Oscar and Grammy.

The concert will combine musical performances with multimedia visual elements that will enhance the emotional impact. Host Katya Bozhikova will complement the musical experience with professional commentary.

Organizers from the State Opera - Burgas and the Burgas Municipality are preparing the eighteenth edition of the music forum "Emil Chakyrov" with a rich program. In the upcoming weeks, the audience will be able to enjoy opera and ballet performances, including "Carmen", "Traviata", and the musical "My Fair Lady".
