The third edition of the International Ballet Competition "Sara-Nora Prima" will attract exceptional interest among professional dancers from around the world. The forum, named after the legendary prima ballerina Sara-Nora Krasteva, will take place in the cultural capital of the sea - Burgas.

The organizers expect an impressive international selection of over 160 ballet dancers, with 70 of them participating directly in the competitive program. Parallel to the competition, a specialized ballet academy will also function, with over 90 dancers additionally enrolled.

Financial support for the prestigious event comes from the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Burgas, with the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency as the official media partner. The competition is also included in the Program for Protection of Children with Outstanding Talents for 2025.

An authoritative jury of leading national and international ballet experts will evaluate the participants. Its chairman will be Sara-Nora Krasteva herself, with members including prima ballerinas, soloists, and choreographers from Bulgaria, Turkey, Serbia, and Finland.

The competitive program will be held from July 7 to 10, every day at 18:00 in the hall of the State Opera - Burgas. July 11 is a rest day, and on July 12 at 19:00, the ceremonial gala concert will take place.

Alongside the competition, the Ballet Academy will operate from July 5 to 13, concluding with a ceremonial concert on July 13 at 13:00. The award ceremony will be hosted by the popular television host Georgi Lyubenov.

Bulgarian participants who place in the top three will receive one-year scholarships from the Ministry of Culture. Tickets for the competition days and gala concert will be sold at the Opera's ticket office, "Chasovnika" cashier, as well as online through Grabo.bg and Eventim.BG platforms.

The International Ballet Competition "Sara-Nora Prima" continues the tradition of being one of the most significant cultural events in Bulgaria's summer calendar.
