On April 25th, a masterclass in animation and a discussion for prospective students interested in animation and design will be held at the Congress Center of the Sea Station in Burgas. The event will be led by Hungarian director Géza Tóth.

The organizers are the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (NATFA) "Krastyo Sarafov" and the Regional Information Center in Burgas.

The masterclass is designed for twelfth-graders who want to become professionally acquainted with the world of animation, as a synthesis of visual thinking, storytelling, and modern technologies.

During the event, the basic principles of animation art will be examined – from the creation of characters and the development of an author's visual style to the specifics of different techniques such as 2D and 3D animation and stop-motion. Special attention will be paid to the application of these skills in cinema, advertising, the gaming industry, and digital media.

In addition to the practical and creative aspects, future prospective students will receive detailed information about the admission and training conditions at NATFA. The preparation of a creative portfolio, the acquisition of practical skills during studies, and the opportunities for realization on the Bulgarian and international market will be discussed. Participation is free, but pre-registration is required.

NATFA plans to open a branch in Burgas in 2025, and in the second academic year, new bachelor's programs will be launched: "Animation and Film Design" and "Dance and Performance". Admission to "Acting for Dramatic Theater" will also continue, and for those who have completed higher education, there will be a master's program "Animation Directing".
