Burgas will host MAX FIGHT 67 at the Mladost hall on Saturday, November 28, 2026, at 5:30pm, the MAX FIGHT chain has announced. Tickets are on sale at kupibileti.bg.

The chain returns to the city after this summer's MAX FIGHT 66. Organisers say the new gala will build on what the last one started.

The international bout pits Turkey's Burak Poyraz against Moldova's Denis Tapu. The two will fight in the super welterweight division, wearing MMA gloves under Muay Thai rules. The winner gets a shot at the MAX FIGHT champion.

Poyraz, a multiple Turkish champion, has a record of 31 wins, seven by knockout, against seven losses. Tapu holds the WAKO kickboxing world title and has 19 wins, eight by knockout, and four losses. The pair met before, in 2021, when the Moldovan won under K-1 rules, which use bigger gloves, allow knees and ban elbows — a format that suits Tapu.

Poyraz is chasing a title rematch. At the summer's MAX FIGHT 66, his three rounds against the promotion's light-middleweight champion, Martin Petkov, ended in a unanimous decision for the Bulgarian — his 15th win. An elbow from the Turk cut the Godech-born fighter's eyebrow in the second round, but his corner patched him up and the fight went on. Petkov has since also taken a direct title challenge from Tapu.

MAX FIGHT 66 also saw the return of Borislav Velev, known as Roy, who had been out of the ring for two years with a serious knee injury. In his 15th fight, he scored his 15th straight knockout win, dropping Frenchman Dimitri Trenel with an uppercut in the third round. Footage of the finish has racked up millions of views online.

The chain also runs a youth sports programme meant to draw young people off the streets and into gyms. Part of that effort is an "Open Doors Day," a first-time event held with Burgas council for amateur and semi-professional fighters of all ages from clubs across the country. More than 100 competitors took part across eight disciplines: boxing, kickboxing, MMA, Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu, grappling, combat sambo and karate.

MAX FIGHT also works with KIDS EXPO and the Plovdiv Sports Festival.
