Two works by the great Bulgarian artist Georgi Baev from his "Barriers" cycle have been donated to the charity initiative "New Grand Piano for the Talents of Burgas".
The paintings were donated specifically to support the cause, which aims to provide a new concert grand piano for the young musicians of the National School of Music and Stage Arts "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov".
During a meeting with students of the elite educational institution, the donation was presented by Ivo Baev, who spoke about the philosophy and spirit of his father – an artist for whom freedom, courage and overcoming internal and external barriers were a driving force. It was this message that he conveyed to the young talents with the words: "Break all barriers."
The two donated paintings will be included in the charity exhibition "New Grand Piano for the Talents of Burgas", which will be opened on December 1, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Artists' Association on Alexandrovska St. 22, explained the director of the National School of Music and Stage Arts "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov" Dimitar Madzharov. The proceeds from the exhibition will be directed towards the purchase of a new grand piano – a necessary instrument for the development of young musicians and for the affirmation of Burgas as a city of art.
