An exhibition on the temple of Cybele, the Pontic Mother of the Gods, in ancient Dionysopolis opens on 21 October at 5pm at the Archaeological Exhibition of the Regional History Museum in Burgas, 21 Aleko Bogoridi Boulevard, the museum said.

The multimedia show is touring Bulgaria. It tells the story of the temple of Cybele, which the museum in Balchik calls one of the most important archaeological finds from ancient Dionysopolis, today's Balchik.

Visitors will see scientific information, electronic multimedia and 3D visualisations, along with replicas they can touch. The authors want to combine archaeology with modern technology, so that history is easy to access and interactive.

The History Museum in Balchik is the organiser. The National Culture Fund is paying for the project under its "Creation and Distribution – Large Projects" programme.

The exhibition was shown in Varna and Dobrich before Burgas.
