This evening, the "Prolet" gallery opens an exhibition of the renowned master of stone, Professor Kiril Meskin. The exhibition will be open to visitors until December 12th.
Regarding the work of Kiril Meskin, Svetlin Rusev has shared his admiration, describing him as "one of those strange artists that nature creates as part of itself, who live in it and, through its matter and form, send us messages about its inner life." Rusev continues, emphasizing the depth of the artist's work: "In this seemingly closed creator, alien to worldly vanity and ostentation, there is something of those masters who themselves extracted and transported the stone from distant quarries, themselves processed it, modeled it, and built the wonderful architectural and plastic visions of the folk soul. Time, the elemental natural and fateful disasters, layer upon layer, have accumulated and built those precious stones that the careful hand of the sculptor has cleaned, caressed, and stroked until only the memory of time and the soul of the creator remained."
Born on May 23, 1943, Kiril Meskin graduated in sculpture, trained by professors Vasil Stoilov and Panayot Dimitrov. He is a professor at the Veliko Tarnovo University "St. St. Cyril and Methodius".
