Photography Thesis Exhibition in Burgas: First graduating class of the National Academy of Arts

On February 4th at the “Morsko Casino” Cultural Center, Burgas, the exhibition of diploma projects by the first graduating class of the “Photography” master's program at the Burgas Branch of the National Academy of Arts opens at 6:00 PM.

The exhibition features Kristian Dimitrov, Denislava Veleva, Velislava Nikolova, Vladimir Popov, and Tanya Belinova, who present their completed artistic projects, successfully defended on January 24, 2026, before an examination committee with the participation of leading lecturers and established professionals in the field of visual arts.

The projects reveal a wide spectrum of creative explorations and visual ideas. The exhibition presents diverse and multi-layered ideas, told in the language of photographic art.

Works with various visual solutions are shown, in which tradition and modernity unite and complement each other.

Some of the graduates work with classical techniques of analog photography and manual copying onto photographic paper, which enter into a dialogue with contemporary conceptual approaches.

The “Photography” master's program at the National Academy of Arts is aimed at the development of young authors with an interest in artistic and conceptual photography.

The training combines theoretical preparation, intensive practical work, and an individual creative approach, encouraging the building of a personal visual language and professional realization.

This exhibition is not only a presentation of diploma works, but also the first declaration of the presence of a new generation of photographers on the contemporary art scene.
