The exhibition "Joy, Sorrow, and Hope," showcasing the work of 25 Bulgarian children's book illustrators, arrives in the picturesque town of Nessebar. The official opening is expected to take place on October 16th at 5:30 PM in the foyer of the Artium Culture and Education Center.

The walls of the foyer, where the exhibition will be displayed, are preparing to welcome visitors with a colorful palette of images. The exhibition promises to offer a wealth of original illustrations, created by contemporary Bulgarian artists who have dedicated their work to the world of children's books. The curators of this charming exhibition are the creative duo Anton Staykov and Svoboda Tsekova. They have selected works that highlight the artistic approach, narrative techniques, and individual style of each author.

The exhibition promises to be a celebration of imagination, presenting the works of a wide range of Bulgarian illustrators. Among the names included in this art festival are: Alya Markova, Antonia Mechkueva, Veselin Pramatarov, Vyara Boyadzhieva-Kastelein, Denitsa Mineva-Deland, Elitsa Surbinova, Iva Sashes, Ina Hristova, Kalina Muhova, Katina Peeva, Kiril Zlatkov, Lilyana Dvoryanova, Lyuba Haleva, Martin Stanev, Miglena Papazova, Mila Yaneva-Tabakova, Mira Miroslavova, Penko Gelev, Siana Zaharieva, Sotir Gelev, Sofia Popyordanova, Stela Drays, Yulian Tabakov, and Yasen Grigorov.

Each of the featured names will be shown through a fragment of their work on a specific book. The innovative approach also includes a QR code, which provides visitors with the opportunity to delve deeper into the creative process, leading them to additional content on the booksforkids.bg website.

The project that brought this exhibition to life is being implemented by the "Culture and Literature" Association. Significant financial support has been provided by the Ministry of Culture and the National Culture Fund. The exhibition is to be shown in Nessebar after having already impressed audiences on the international stage. The exhibition has participated in the most prestigious international forum for children's literature – the Bologna Children's Book Fair, showcasing the richness of Bulgarian illustrative art to the world.
