On International Black Sea Day - October 31st, the Natural History Museum at RIM - Burgas is preparing to open its doors for the exhibition "Black Sea - unique and unknown".
Outside, the cold autumn air is already whispering of the approaching winter, but inside, in the halls of the museum, one of the most mysterious ecosystems on the planet will come to life.
Seven information panels will lead visitors on an exciting journey into the depths of the Black Sea, revealing facts that rarely come to the attention of the general public. The exhibition is supported by solid scientific data, visually presented through artistic diagrams and impactful photographs.
At the center of attention will be an impressive 3D model of the seabed. Viewers will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the relief of the underwater world, which hides countless secrets. Visitors will also be able to see a reconstruction of the remains of an Ottoman wooden ship, discovered at the enormous depth of 300 meters. The view itself promises to immerse viewers in history.
Rock samples are also exhibited, which are directly related to the formation of the sands that we know along our coast. The exhibits will tell about the geological history of the region.
But the exhibition also has a more important mission than simply informing. Through the presentation of these exhibits, the organizers appeal to the public to become aware of the problems facing the Black Sea ecosystem. The exhibition emphasizes the need to protect this vulnerable marine basin. The atmosphere in the museum promises to be filled with seriousness and responsibility for the future.
