The government agency finalized the procedure for allocating innovative grants, approving 123 Bulgarian commercial companies from various economic sectors. Candidates had the opportunity to receive funding for two scientific services provided by academic and research institutions.
The financial framework of support is strictly defined – each service is subsidized with 14,710 leva, and the maximum threshold for two services reaches 29,420 leva. The majority of companies showed interest in using modern research equipment and expert potential.
The distribution of funds shows a differentiated approach to companies of different scales. Micro-firms will receive nearly 2 million leva through 65 project proposals, while small and medium-sized companies will be supported with 1.6 million leva across 58 projects.
The sectoral analysis reveals that almost half of the approved companies are from the manufacturing sector. The rest represent diverse areas – information technology, research activities, advertising, design, engineering services, tourism, and food industry.
The target focus of the grant scheme covers a wide range of innovative directions, including the implementation of artificial intelligence, improvement of tourism services, reduction of carbon emissions, and development of new products.
