Soprano Hristina Vasileva and pianist Svetlin Hristov will fill the stage of the "Morsko Kazino" Cultural Center with music on October 21st. The concert, eagerly awaited by music lovers, will present selected songs from the cycle based on poems by Eduard Mörike - some of the most significant works of the Austrian composer from the late Romantic period. The event organizers announce that the program is a rarity on Bulgarian concert stages.
The air around the cultural center building is vibrant with anticipation. In the early afternoon, several classical music enthusiasts were already in front of the doors, for whom the upcoming concert is a long-awaited event.
"Wolf is a discoverer of dramaturgy in the song – he doesn't clothe the verse in melody, as composers traditionally did before, but follows its pulse and lets it split into multidirectional independent melodic lines", shares Hristina Vasileva, adding that it is especially exciting for her to present this program in her hometown.
A special gift is also prepared for the audience – the song Nixe Binsefuss ("Mermaid with Reed Feet"), one of Wolf's mythological works. "To sing this song here, by my native shore, is my way of thanking the city and the people who have always given me inspiration and support", shares Vasileva.
Hristina Vasileva, medalist from the Vivavoce opera singers competition of the "Ardentsa" Foundation, will demonstrate her talent. She graduated in Cultural Studies from Sofia University, and her singing teacher was Lyudmila Gerova, conductor of the "Polyphony" choir chapel. She has worked with pianist Galina Draganova and is a co-founder of the baroque trio "Affetuoso" with Yosif Gerdzhikov and Dimitar Marinkev. As a soloist, she has performed in concerts with the Sofia Philharmonic under the direction of Monika Volinska, Alexander Sidnev and Martin Panteleev.
