Enyovden in Burgas: A celebration of the sun, the dew, and summer

On the eve of the sunniest and most magical day, the Regional Historical Museum (RHM) – Burgas invites all residents and guests of the city to a special celebration. On June 24, 2026 (Wednesday) at 10:00 a.m., the courtyard of the Ethnographic Museum will turn into a stage for traditions.

Tradition and symbolism

According to tradition, we will weave an Enyovden wreath from seventy-seven and a half fragrant herbs. Anyone who wishes can bring their own sprig of enchanted herbs for health, strength, love, and good luck!

Folklore program and guest performers

The celebration will be accompanied by performances by the children's dance ensembles "Primorche" and "Kiten," with choreographer Maria Varbanova. For the first time, talented groups from the Primorsko municipality will also take part in Enyovden.

Reenactment of the "Enyova Bulya" custom

A special highlight of the program is the reenactment of the ancient Strandzha custom "Enyova Bulya." We will see a little girl dressed in an authentic folk costume – a white shirt, a red caftan, and a delicate veil of flowers. She will distribute bouquets that have rested in "silent water" under the stars to bring health to those present.
