Electromobility Burgas 2025: Festival

Burgas will host the first-ever "Eldrive Electromobility Festival Burgas 2025" on September 20th at the Sea Port.

The event, organized by the Burgas Municipality and the charging infrastructure operator Eldrive, promises to become the largest electric mobility event in Bulgaria this year.

Electric vehicle owners from all over the country are expected, and visitors will have the unique opportunity to get acquainted with the latest electric vehicle models from brands such as Mercedes, Renault, Volvo, Lynk & Co, Geely, KIA, and Hyundai.

Many will even be able to enjoy a test drive.

The Festival and the European Mobility Week

The festival is part of the program of the "European Mobility Week", which has been held in Burgas for 12 years, confirming the city"s commitment to sustainable development.

A variety of entertainment will be offered throughout the day, culminating in an evening light show with cars – the first of its kind in Burgas.

The atmosphere at the Sea Port will be filled with electric buzzing, lively conversations, and anticipation for the grand light show that will illuminate the night.

The event has the potential to significantly contribute to the popularization of electric mobility.

Everyone will be able to get in touch with electric cars, discuss their advantages with enthusiasts, owners, and experts.

Charging infrastructure in Burgas

Burgas ranks among the cities in Bulgaria with the best-developed charging infrastructure, ranking third after Sofia and Plovdiv in the number of public charging points.

A significant advantage is the location of charging stations in residential areas, showing the effective public-private partnership between the municipality and Eldrive.

This model is still rare in the country and is an indicator of the municipal administration"s commitment to green policies.

What else will be offered at the festival?

Visitors will be able to get acquainted with the latest electric vehicle models from leading manufacturers.

ProCredit Bank will present specially developed financial products for purchasing electric vehicles.

In addition to the exhibition, there will be designated areas for test drives, recreation areas, food and drinks, as well as a children_q_s corner with animators.

Eldrive and their future plans

Eldrive, the largest operator of public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in Bulgaria and a regional leader, manages over 2200 charging points, over 1100 of which are in Bulgaria, and the rest in Romania and Lithuania.

The company focuses on fast and super-fast charging, building charging hubs in key urban and intercity locations.

Eldrive has ambitious expansion plans, and since the end of 2024, the construction of its own large charging parks along highways has begun, with the first four in Lithuania already operational.

Similar locations are expected to be put into operation in Bulgaria by the end of the year.

This is an important signal of the growing interest in electric mobility and investments in this area.
