The fifteenth international conference "Digital Presentation and Preservation of Cultural and Scientific Heritage" – DiPP2025 will be held from September 25 to 28, 2025, in Burgas.
Organized by the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, under the patronage of UNESCO and with the support of the "Scientific Research" Fund (CP-06-MNF/2 of 06.06.2025) and the Burgas Municipality, the conference is shaping up to be a key event in the field of digitization of cultural and scientific heritage.
DiPP2025 sets the ambitious goal of presenting the latest innovations, projects, and scientific developments related to the digital documentation, archiving, presentation, and preservation of the world"s and national tangible and intangible cultural and scientific heritage. Particular attention will be paid to ensuring free access to digitized national cultural and scientific heritage, as well as to the implementation of sustainable policies for its long-term digital storage and preservation. Invited speakers include Dr. Giuliano Guffrida from the Vatican Apostolic Library, Prof. Dr. Ioannis Pratikakis from Democritus University of Thrace, and Prof. Dr. Marco Scarpa from the University of Messina, who will share their expert knowledge and present innovative projects and technological developments in the field of digital paleography. The participation of these prominent specialists promises a high level of discussion and exchange of experience.
