Internationally recognized musical artist Chico Castillo is preparing an impressive performance for fans in Nessebar, which will shake up the city's summer festival. On August 15 at 10:00 PM, the audience will immerse themselves in the magic of his world-famous compositions, combining flamenco, Latin, and contemporary musical trends.
The performer's biography is exceptionally rich and diverse. Born with Spanish roots but raised in France, Castillo possesses a charismatic voice and talents as an author and guitarist. His 35-year musical career is marked by innovative experiments in the "world music" genre, which combine different cultural influences.
Before founding his own band Chico & The Gypsies, he was part of Andre Reyes' legendary Gipsy Kings. With them, he recorded unforgettable hits like "Bamboleo" and "Volare", which achieved remarkable success in American music charts, staying in the top 40 for a full 40 weeks.
One of his most brilliant musical moments is the ballad "Alabina", which combines flamenco and Arabic elements. The song achieved an incredible commercial success with over 14 million copies sold and inclusion in film productions, which further expanded his international popularity.
Castillo is not just a musician, but also a socially engaged personality. Since 1998, he has been an honorary UNESCO ambassador and actively supports charitable causes, donating part of his royalties. In his creative biography, he has collaborations with exceptional names such as Emilio Estefan Gomez, Phil Collins, and Julio Iglesias.
Together with Felix Gray, he created the musical "Don Juan", which won numerous awards and realized an impressive 5 million copies. His music is a true bridge between different cultural traditions, combining modern rhythms with deep roots in Spanish musical culture.
