On August 12, 2025, the Municipality of Burgas will host a large-scale international event dedicated to the innovative development of the Black Sea region. The forum "Black Sea Innovation Hub" will be held at the Flora Exhibition Center as part of a large-scale transnational project "Blue Ports".
The initiative is being implemented under the Interreg Black Sea Basin program and has a strategic goal - to create the first transnational blue economy cluster. The main focus is on the digital transformation of marine industries through the use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence.
The working meeting will bring together leading scientists, institutional representatives, and business experts from four Black Sea countries. The event is structured in two thematic areas that will address different aspects of maritime development.
The first thematic block will be dedicated to the sustainable development of fishing, aquaculture, and research in the maritime sector. The second panel will cover topics such as maritime transport, shipbuilding, renewable marine energy, tourism activities, and skills development.
The organizers have planned a hybrid format of participation - in-person and online, which will provide wide access for interested parties. Direct broadcasting will be available through a special Microsoft Teams connection, ensuring international coverage.
Participation in the working meeting is completely free, but prior registration is required by August 10 inclusive. Those interested can join through a specially prepared online form that will be available on the project's official website.
The event is emerging as a key moment in the development of innovative marine industries, which will lay the foundations for future digital transformation in the Black Sea region.
