The events in Burgas this Saturday and Sunday are more than ever! The weekend of June 19–21, 2026, is a true festival explosion.

The events in Burgas this Saturday and Sunday — What awaits us?

June in Burgas is rarely quiet, but the weekend from June 19 to 21, 2026, is especially rich. An international festival of Spanish culture, a national film festival with free admission, a folk festival in Kraimorie, opera, a masterclass on the island, and dozens of smaller cultural events are taking place simultaneously. Regardless of taste and age — Burgas this Saturday and Sunday offers something for everyone.

🥘 SOLE Festival 2026 — Spanish passion and paella in the Sea Garden

📍 Flora Exhibition Center, Sea Garden | 🗓 June 19–21 | 🎟 Free admission

The main event of the weekend is the second edition of the SOLE Festival — three days of Spanish and Latin American music, dance, cinema, literature, and gastronomy on the seashore. The festival is organized with the support of Burgas Municipality and brings together artists and chefs from all over Europe.

Friday, June 19: The official opening features performances by La Jose (flamenco and contemporary music), the guitar ensemble of NUMSI "Pancho Vladigerov", and trio MADEIRA. An ideal way to get into a Spanish mood.

Saturday, June 20: Taking the stage are La Ganga Calé (an explosive mix of flamenco, rock, and funk), Sabor Latino, Del Padre, and Amor Mio. The gastronomic zone is full of authentic Spanish flavors.

Sunday, June 21: The grand finale is reserved for the Argentine band Che Sudaka and the culinary championship — the Bulgarian qualifier for the World Paella Day Cup 2026. The winner will represent Bulgaria at the world final in Valencia on September 20. Don't miss the art exhibition "The Big Green" by Carles Ascona Jutglar — inspired by the Amazon — and a flamenco masterclass for all who wish to join.

🎬 KinoVakantsiya 2026 — Three days of new Bulgarian cinema with free admission

📍 House of the Petrochemical Worker (NHK), Burgas | 🗓 June 20–22 | 🎟 Free admission

The fifth edition of the beloved film festival "KinoVakantsiya" turns Burgas into the capital of contemporary Bulgarian cinema. Three days of screenings of feature, documentary, and animated films, followed by meetings with directors and actors — and all of this without a ticket!

Saturday, June 20, 5:00 PM: Animation and short film block — "Balconada", "Garvanera", "Flight", "Offspring", "Girlfriend", "God's Work".

Saturday, June 20, 7:30 PM: Official opening with the full-length feature film "Wild Strawberries" by director Tatyana Pandurska — a new and exciting perspective on contemporary Bulgaria.

Sunday, June 21, 3:00 PM: "The Uneven Soul" — a documentary by director Sofia Stoycheva.

Sunday, June 21, 5:00 PM: "Zlatyu's Dog" by directors Petar Valchanov and Kristina Grozeva — one of the most respected names in contemporary Bulgarian cinema.

Sunday, June 21, 7:30 PM: "Eternity Package" — a Bulgaria/Italy co-production featuring actor Kitodar Todorov, who will be a guest at the discussion after the screening.

🎭 "Carmina Burana" and "Boléro" — State Opera Burgas

📍 Opera Hall, State Opera Burgas | 🗓 Friday, June 19 | 🕐 7:00 PM | 🎟 Tickets from 10 BGN — at the opera box office

The weekend in Burgas begins with a powerful hit: on the stage of the State Opera Burgas, two monumental works are presented — the scenic cantata "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff and "Boléro" by Maurice Ravel. Conducted by Ivan Kozhuharov, choreography by Zhelka Tabakova, and ballet parts performed by Yana Berduta and principal dancer Daniel Tichkov. An impressive stage production with orchestra, choir, and ballet — for art lovers, this is a must-see event of the weekend.
