The choir festival "Let it be summer..." will be held in Burgas from June 27 to June 29, 2025. The event is initiated by the Community Center "Lighthouse 1946" - Burgas and the "Art Music" Association and is realized with the financial support of the Municipality of Burgas. The festival supports the candidacy of Burgas for the European Capital of Culture in 2032.
The first edition of the festival in 2023 presented six mixed and homogeneous choirs from across the country, enriching the cultural calendar of the city and creating numerous admirers of the choral art. In 2024, the format expanded, including seven choirs from Bulgaria and one from abroad, who performed a new Bulgarian choral song.
This year, during the three festival days, the Burgas audience and the guests of the city will enjoy three concerts - on June 27 at the Cultural Center NHK, on June 28 at the Open Stage "Snail" in Primorski Park, and a Gala Concert on June 29 again at the Cultural Center NHK.
In the third edition of the festival, choral groups from Sweden and Denmark will participate, as well as numerous collectives from various cities in Bulgaria, including the Collective Formation "Sedyanka" and "Perunika", the Mixed Choir of Transport Workers - Sofia, the Representative Women's Choir "Golden Lyre" - Targovishte, the Collective Formation Choir "Evmolpeia" and the Youth Choir "Stefka Blagoeva" at the CPLR - Plovdiv, the Mixed Choir "Dobrich" - Dobrich, the Women's Choir "Trimontium" - Plovdiv, the Mixed Choir "Vladi Anastasov" - Varna, "We are from Ukraine" - Burgas, and the Mixed Choir "Rodna Pesen" - Burgas. At the Gala Concert, a new Bulgarian song by the Burgas composer Petya Toncheva will also be performed.
