Burgas welcomes the 42nd edition of the national song contest "Burgas and the Sea"

On June 19, 2025, journalists from various media gathered to draw lots and determine the order of presentation of the finalists in the 42nd edition of the national song contest "Burgas and the Sea". The event will be held on July 26 at the Summer Theater in Burgas and will be part of the city's candidacy for European Capital of Culture in 2032, as announced by Deputy Mayor Diana Savateva.

The host of the event was the charismatic and talented Dani Ilieva, who had won numerous awards at previous editions of the contest. She was accompanied on stage by 8-year-old Mia Baeva, who contributed to the pleasant atmosphere. Dimitar Atanasov, the group "Hot Sand" and Dani Ilieva performed several live songs to create the mood.

The jury, composed of composers, poets, performers, municipal officials and media representatives, has allowed 12 songs to the final of the competition. They will be performed on the stage on July 26 in the following order:

2. "How Long" - Victoria Kamencheva
3. "When We Fit in a Tear" - Gergana Velikova
4. "Salty Heart" - "Hugged Cloud"
5. "On the Shore" - Hristina Trifonova
6. "Sea and Land" - Dimitar Lazarov
7. "The Direction Towards Me" - Boyana Karpatova
8. "After Love" - Georgi Dyulgerov
9. "Confession" - Margarita Hranova
10. "Memory from Before" - Filip Donkov
11. "Are You There..." - Hristiana Loizou
12. "We and the Sea" - Lyubomir Dyulgerov

The national contest "Burgas and the Sea" is held for the 42nd time, and this year's edition will be part of Burgas' candidacy for European Capital of Culture in 2032.
