Burgas honors Plamen Stavrev: An emotional blues concert in the Sea Garden

A musical tribute in memory of Plamen Stavrev

On August 21, 2026, from 7:00 PM, the open-air stage in the Sea Garden next to Flora will once again pulse to the rhythm of the blues. The event, which has become a tradition, this year carries the motto "With a song for Plamen" – a touching dedication to the unforgettable Burgas musician Plamen Stavrev.

This will not just be a concert evening, but a musical gesture of appreciation for the man whose name generations of Burgas residents associate with the spirit of the blues.

Star-studded program and international participation

Some of the biggest names in the genre will take the stage:

• Vasko Krapkata and Poduene Blues Band: Legends of Bulgarian blues with over 35 years of history.
• Sakis Dovolis Trio (Greece): A powerful blues-rock trio, bringing the explosive energy of the 70s.
• Harmonic: The Burgas band that skillfully combines rock and blues emotion.
• Atoluka Blues Cartel: Plovdiv spirit with catchy lyrics and a unique mood.
• The Cold Shots: Inspired by Stevie Ray Vaughan and raw rock energy.

Afterparty and memories

The evening does not end with the final note. From 11:30 PM, the organizers invite all friends to an afterparty at Barabar, where the emotions will continue in an informal setting by the sea.

The organizers call on everyone who has archival photos, videos, or stories from previous editions of the festival to share them on the official Facebook page.

The event is part of Burgas' candidacy for European Capital of Culture 2032.
