Within the framework of a large-scale working meeting with the Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria, key mechanisms for improving the business ecosystem and discovering new market horizons for local enterprises were discussed. Economic Deputy Minister Doncho Barbalov outlined a comprehensive approach to stimulating the national economy.

Among the main discussion highlights were the opportunities to activate the services for trade and economic issues and reduce administrative barriers for economic entities. Barbalov emphasized Bulgaria's strategic advantages on an international level - the stable macroeconomic environment and the upcoming integration into key European structures.

The expert highlighted significant upcoming events for the national economy: full membership in the Schengen area, joining the Eurozone from January 1, 2026, and progress in the process of inclusion in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. These processes are expected to improve the credit rating and attract foreign investments.

In a strategic plan, the Ministry is developing a National Industrial Strategy with a horizon until 2030, which provides for the creation of a modern industrial ecosystem. A key element will be the construction of industrial parks that will stimulate modern production and optimize production chains.

At the international level, trade agreements are planned to ensure access for Bulgarian companies to new markets. A special communication mechanism is envisaged to inform businesses about potential export opportunities through trade and economic services.

A series of national and regional meetings between industry representatives and economic diplomats are upcoming, aimed at sharing current information about registration regimes and licensing procedures in different countries. This approach aims to directly support the expansion of the export potential of Bulgarian enterprises.
