During an official diplomatic meeting, key guidelines were outlined for expanding economic partnership between Bulgaria and the State of Kuwait. Minister Petar Dilov emphasized the strategic significance of Kuwaiti investments for the Bulgarian economy, defining the Gulf region as a priority foreign policy vector.

Official representatives discussed the potential for interaction in various high-tech sectors. The Bulgarian side presented an attractive investment environment, further reinforced by the recent credit rating upgrade from leading international agencies and the upcoming eurozone accession.

Ambassador Alfadli expressed categorical support, defining Bulgaria as a reliable European partner with exceptional opportunities for access to the common market. Both sides shared a vision for reviving the activities of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, whose last working session dates back to 2006.

Among the specific agreements is the planning of a business delegation that will visit Kuwait this autumn. The purpose of this visit is to create direct trade contacts and identify mutually beneficial investment projects in priority economic directions.

Minister Dilov emphasized that Bulgaria has the capacity to be a reliable partner in building production bases and research centers. Expectations are that new forms of cooperation will contribute to the diversification of economic relations and mutual economic strengthening.

Upcoming initiatives demonstrate the desire of both states to actively develop bilateral relations in the economic sphere, relying on mutual interest and diplomatic support.
