Bulgaria offers condolences to Japan after the strong earthquake

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Bulgaria has expressed sincere condolences to the families of those who died in the powerful earthquake that shook Japan yesterday. In an official statement published on the social network "X", our foreign ministry emphasized its solidarity with the Japanese people.

"Our thoughts are with the people in Japan affected by the devastating earthquake. We express our condolences to those who have lost loved ones and wish for a speedy recovery for the injured, as well as success for the rescue operations," the MFA wrote.

Current toll: Casualties and evacuees

At the moment, the situation in the affected areas remains serious. According to information from Agence France-Presse and statements by Japanese government spokesman Minoru Kihara:

Rescue teams continue their work on the ground, and Japanese authorities are assessing the damage and organizing logistical assistance for residents left homeless.
