Increased control over water attractions

Inspections of facilities for water and extreme entertainment continue, with stricter rules for their operation being prepared. This was stated by the Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Peev during a blitz control in the Parliamentary Committee on Transport and Communications.

The incident occurred while using an unregulated facility at a location that does not have the necessary permits and licenses for such activity.

What necessitates the urgent measures?

The reason for the statement was an incident with an inflatable water facility of the "banana boat" type at an unregistered water base near Aheloy, in which six people were injured. The Minister emphasized that when services are provided in accordance with the law, they are subject to a strict licensing regime.

New safety rules

The public consultation on the new texts will end soon, with the goal of maximizing the safety of tourists during the summer season.
