End of public consultation on water safety
The public consultation on the draft amendments to the Ordinance on Navigation and Border Regime in our country has concluded. The Ministry of Transport and Communications announced that key proposals have been received, focusing mainly on the "parasailing" service.
Citizens and organizations are demanding stricter rules for the maintenance of technical equipment and clear recognition of captains' qualifications acquired in the EU.
Key highlights of the proposals:
- Regulation of safety parameters for parasailing.
- Introduction of electronic channels for requesting zones for water attraction services.
- Greater transparency and publicity in the control of water corridors.
What happens next?
An analysis of the opinions and mandatory coordination between the ministries is forthcoming. Due to the seriousness of the safety measures, the draft will undergo official notification to the European Commission in accordance with Directive 2015/1535.
Following the notification, there will be a three-month period for comments from EU member states before the final adoption of the legal act by the Council of Ministers.
