An impressive sailing race "Cor Caroli" attracted 33 competitive crews for its 25th anniversary edition. The regatta carries a special message, paying tribute to Captain Georgi Georgiev - the pioneer who completed the historic Bulgarian round-the-world voyage in 1976-1977.

The start of the competition was marked by extremely dynamic races "against and with the wind" in the Varna Bay. Sailors had to demonstrate high technical preparation amid challenging meteorological conditions - strong waves and unpredictable air currents.

The route of the regatta includes an extensive route with successive stages: initially from Varna to Balchik on Saturday, followed by a transition between Varna and Sveti Vlas on Sunday. The final phase of the prestigious competition is planned for Monday in Burgas port.

Parallel to the main regatta, on the occasion of Varna's Holiday, demonstration competitions with dragon boats were organized. These included both professional coaches and young talents practicing canoe-kayak and academic rowing.
