Cor Caroli Regatta returns with its 26th edition
Tomorrow marks the start of the 26th edition of the iconic Cor Caroli Regatta, which once again places Varna at the center of Bulgarian sailing. For more than a quarter of a century, the competition has turned the local coastline into an arena of fierce sea battles.
This year's edition is a key part of the program for Varna's City Day and will gather the best crews in the ORC, IRC, and Conrad 25R classes.
Route and program
The regatta will be held from August 12 to 16 along the picturesque route: Burgas – Sveti Vlas – Varna – Balchik. Here are the key stages:
- August 12: Registration and Pro-Am race in the Bay of Burgas.
- August 13: Coastal race Burgas – St. Ivan Island – Sveti Vlas.
- August 14: Second coastal race: Sveti Vlas – Varna.
- August 15: Attractive “banana” type races in the Bay of Varna.
