On January 6th, Epiphany, Nesebar will host two significant events. The first is the traditional throwing of the Epiphany cross into the sea, which will begin at 11:30 a.m. on the beach at the sea terminal in Old Nesebar.
On the same day, from 2:00 p.m., a solemn celebration of the 177th anniversary of the birth of Hristo Botev will be held. The homage to the poet's monument will take place in front of the "Lyuben Karavelov" Secondary School in the New Town.
In addition, the cross-throwing ritual will also be held in other cities on the Black Sea coast:
- Obzor: 10:30 a.m. on the central beach
- Ravda: 10:30 a.m. on the central beach
- Sveti Vlas: 11:30 a.m. on the central beach
