Epiphany in Nessebar: Ritual Throwing of the Cross and Celebration of Botev

On January 6th, Nessebar and the surrounding areas will host celebrations for Epiphany and the birthday of Hristo Botev, including the ritual throwing of the cross and honoring the memory of the poet.

On January 6th, Epiphany, Nesebar will host two significant events. The first is the traditional throwing of the Epiphany cross into the sea, which will begin at 11:30 a.m. on the beach at the sea terminal in Old Nesebar.

On the same day, from 2:00 p.m., a solemn celebration of the 177th anniversary of the birth of Hristo Botev will be held. The homage to the poet's monument will take place in front of the "Lyuben Karavelov" Secondary School in the New Town.
