Today the sky will be generous with sunshine, especially over most of the country. However, clouds will gather over the mountainous and southeastern regions, as well as over Northern Bulgaria. It is there, at the end of the day, that new rainfall is expected, heralding a change in the weather. A light to moderate west-southwest wind is expected, and before noon it will blow from the northwest along the Northern Black Sea coast.
The minimum temperatures for today will range between 6° and 11°. In the capital Sofia, the thermometers will show around 6°, and along the Black Sea coast - between 10° and 12°. The maximum temperatures will be between 17° and 22°, with around 17° expected in Sofia.
Along the Black Sea coast, the weather will be mainly sunny, with more clouds gathering over the southern coast. Maximum temperatures there will be between 18° and 20°.
In the mountains, the wind today will be moderate, and in the high parts - strong, from the west. Cloudiness will be more significant in the western and central regions of the Stara Planina and the Rhodopes, where light rainfall is expected.
Meteorologists predict that on Sunday temperatures will remain without significant change, but rain will fall almost all over the country, with only the southeastern regions being spared.
Monday will bring widespread rainfall, which in places will be intense and significant in quantity. It will be windy, and the maximum temperatures in Northwestern Bulgaria will significantly decrease, which suggests preparation for colder weather.
On Tuesday, the wind will weaken and the rains will stop. Wednesday will be mainly sunny, but in the morning hours there will again be conditions for frost, reminding us of the onset of a colder period.
